Was so glad we sang the KM song a lot today. Dara at the back and Hirsty in attack - that's that sorted then.
KM appreciated it.
It's so much more fun supporting the team. We still seem to have some right Berks who have joined our away support. Some who were singing the KM song no doubt the same ones who couldn't wait to shout abuse at Hirst when he made a mistake in first half. Ditto with fans who seem to have forgotten that KM plays out from the back and that sometimes Dara will keep the ball but it's deliberate as we try and bait the press.
Watching Liverpool go through their sticky patch and Anfield is belting out the Arne Slot song. Positive support during tough times is what it's about.
Let's keep the positivity from today going especially when we have more difficult days.

In over 55 years of supporting Ipswich, I've never once called out any of our players, and such behaviour doesn't really go on where I sit in the upper North.
I suppose the problem with away games is that you don't have any control over who sits near you, and I do sometimes wonder why some people go to games if (as sometimes is the case) all they do is moan.

My relationship with the club (and to an extent football) changed when a fair few years ago I was sat towards the front of the South Stand and a woman in at least her 60s laid into Alan Lee, for not trying and not caring,

I sit in the Sir Alf lower. There is a guy there who sat through all the McCarthy dross. Quite clearly ITFC means a lot to him. Screams like a teenager when we pass it around at the back. Agree, Hirst is also a top top chap and a great teammate from the successful promotion seasons who helped bring this club back to life and anyone who has a go at him is simply a prat trying to look cool infront of mates.
He will score more than enough goals again this season and will always give his all. | | | |
