I like Clarke far more than philogene, philogene has scored some great goals but I don’t think he has the skill that Clarke does to take a player on or go either way like Clarke can. Clarke seems a bit quicker over a short distance to get past his man, if has to play on the right then looks better than philogene, he can take penalties, in fact the best taker at the club I would argue. He literally wins every battle if you had to put him against philogene man for man. A lovely problem to have but I like him far more as a player. Shout out to Taylor also, great game and can’t wait for him to start scoring the usual worldies on top of his midfield battles. [Post edited 8 Nov 18:36]

Philogene does the classic 'uses him by not using him' with Davis. Whereas Clarke 'uses him by using him' a bit more. So Davis gets more of the ball out wide with Clarke, but it can still be very effective with Philogene powering into space, unless we're playing away, obviously! |  | | |

Philogene is genuinely 2 footed and is far more likely to go outside his man than JC imho, although both clearly prefer to cut in. | |

They are very different players imo. Philogene likes to be busy around the edge of the box and can produce a moment of magic. Whereas Clarke like to drive forward with the ball at his feet. Clarke can dictate play in a way that Philogene can't. But Philogene can get a shot away from a very tight angle whereas Clarke needs more space so he can be prone to run into trouble when trying to line up the perfect shot. | |

I’d argue neither suit him, but he’s good enough to deal with them. His quality is ridiculous for this league. He played a cracking cut back to Clarke mid-way through the second half but Clarke dallied and got closed down. |  |

They are both excellent players and a lot better than most of the opposition in this division. Must be a nightmare setting up to play against either of them.
