As for Morsy, might work for him just to come provide cover for second half of the season to keep him sharp for a future deal somewhere else, if he doesn't get a tempting offer elsewhere. Might be nice for him to be able to say a proper goodbye on the pitch. Though I gather he doesn't need money after the payoff he must have got from Kuwait. So question is how much does he still want to play football? |  |

They’re free agents for a reason. Washed up has beens, fat and happy sitting on their money (Alli), pension seekers. I thought Redmond had retired years ago. In Sam’s case a choice that did not work out. At 34, past his prime but will do a great job for somebody.
Hopefully we can leave barrel scraping (bar SM maybe) to that lot up the road. We’ve done enough of that over the last 20 years. |  | | |

Always think there's a reason someone's a free agent. Fitness, attitude, financial demands, etc. Of that list, I'd say Morsy is the best pick up because he likely negates those... However, as referenced above, he'll be in a tax pickle should he sign anywhere in the UK in January.
Aaron Ramsey would be an interesting one for us in our #10, but can't see it at all. |  | | |

I don't think we should go back there anyway, but surely all Sam wanted previously was a 2-3 year deal. He didn't get it from anyone in the Champ so he went abroad (and hated it)
Nothing to suggest he's going to come back here after months of inactivity, and demand a 2-3 year deal that he couldn't get when his stock was high
If we really did want him, I think we could offer him the kind of short deal he turned down before. |  | | |

As for the OP, no thanks. We need to set our sights much higher, including Morsy. He was a great player and servant for us in a brilliant time, but we need to look forward not back. |  | | |
