If anyone needs a bit of Mark Ashton. on 17:44 - Nov 13 by Marshalls_Mullet
Put the coffee mug down, man.
Fun fact. That's the same cup that Ashton found dirty and uncared for in 2021 and cleaned to reset the standards at the club. He's been carrying it about since and it's fused with his hand. Makes putting pullovers on difficult.
To be serious though, he has done a great job. Lucky to have him

Same mug, but its had 3 new handles and 2 new bodies.
I hope that the groundsman has a ride on lawnmower, because if not he's gonna get knackered pushing a mower aound all those pitches.
On a more serious note. I believe Mark Ashton, whilst a bit cringey and reminiscent of Ricky Gervais in the Office, is actually the most important figure at ITFC. Everything about this club is his vision. He found Kieran and brought him to the club. If and when Kieran goes, as long as Ashton is at the helm, I have total faith that we will barely see a blip in the club's trajectory. He is driving this club to unbelievable heights, he has won the confidence of the owners and funders, he has built strong foundations and links across the entire county and beyond. We are so lucky to have him in charge.
Thank you for posting this. I found it really interesting.
Ok, the dismals and cynics will pick up on ‘the Office’, coffee cup, dinky beard, cliches, bullsht bingo Ashton speak. I get that. But what was there under ‘our saviour Marcus’ and how do we look now?
Take the words out and look at what the camera shows. The owners are not p£ssing about. They look to me like they’re trying to build this club from the ground up. Just what I wanted to see. Do that and I don’t give a monkeys whether they sign the honey monster or his twin Haaland. The future of the club (my club) is secure.
So Mr Ashton, for all your mistakes, bingo speak, suspicious beard, hanging around boxers, you crack on. I can’t believe the progress of our club. I get the impression that even if this season is disappointing, the owners and people are not going to stop.
Short or long term, we will be fine.

Wow, if anyone was in doubt about the ambitions of Gamechanger. Interesting to hear him say how important a top class training facility is, when trying to attract players to the club. The future is bright.

I just watched it on YouTube. It is fantastic to see this level of investment into the training facilities, tens of millions of pounds!
I wanted to watch it again this morning to try to understand the layout, which I think has changed quite a lot from the original - wasn't the entrance originally going to be from Rushmere Street? - but I haven't got forty minutes spare. So I'm watching it at 2x speed on youtube, which is pretty cool, and probably how Mark Ashton has managed to go so much good work here in such a short time.
Always nice to touch base with Mr Ashton on some of the blue-sky paradigms he's been imagineering before pivoting into the actionable KPIs he has outlined going forward. I look forward to another stand-up sprint planning session soon. Thanks, MA.

‘5 month cradle to grave project’ or along those lines, was my favourite from this.
Why do men think it’s acceptable to dress like that to appear on media. All that money and you look like you shop at Uniqlo and H&M. Dozens of excellent British designers to choose from who would be delighted to suit you. It’s a disgrace.
In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

or Townsend?
Not Townsend I think because he's made a couple of permanent moves through his career, yet in a spooky coincidence his two previous Championship clubs are the choice in question: Hull or West Brom.
