A fit Burns, Walle-Egeli and McAteer 15:42 - Nov 23 with 685 viewscbower

Assuming Burns is fit enough in a few weeks time to give some 20-25 cameos and Walle-Egeli continues to show more and more, what might that mean for McAteer? Could he miss out on a bench spot? Will Ben Johnson or Ashley Young be the one to miss out. Remember Johnson is there as left back cover too. I really could see McAteer struggling for any real game time if Wes gets going.

I like Egeli but he is inclined to cut inside and not get into a race with his marker which is needed sometimes

A fit Burns would have ripped Mclean a new one yesterday

Egeli looks a different player when linking with Nunez, they seem to be on the same wavelength. If he can start to take up some of the positions that Chaplin got into, he is surely going to rifle a few chances in

McAteer is getting a lot of flack some is fair, some of it isn't. His price tag isn't his fault, he is a reasonably solid Championship player and will get better, he looks far better suited to away games for me and he had a reasonably good game at Swansea as an example

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

I can't see McAteer disappearing - too much paid for him and they'll want to develop him.. Too much at stake to drop McAteer. I fear tor Wes, who's 30 now... no real value and coming back from a long term injury. Would not be surprised if he's loaned out or moved on in January.
But.... I sttill love Wes for his directness and he can't half whack a ball.

I’m just hoping Wes can stay fit and make a contribution this season as he is superior to McAteer and much more experienced than Egeli.

Cardiff won't be in the 3rd round, so I doubt that :)
