What are people's thoughts on Sindre? 10:39 - Nov 26 with 2603 viewsMrPotatoHead

Been hit and miss so far, which I think was to be expected of a player so young. We shouldn't forget Omari had a similar start to life before he absolutely took off in the 2nd half of the season.

Good bits: Physicality, works hard, does his defensive duties, has shown glimpses of his quality. There was one moment in the 2nd half where he played a first time ball to Akpom I think, I loved how quickly he zipped that around the corner to him. Seems to have 2 decent feet, I'm desperate for him to score and I think he'll be a popular goalscorer when it comes.

Decision making questionable at times which is inevitable. I'd like to see him become more dangerous with his final ball which is something others have really improved in this environment. Burns, Omari, even Jackson to a lesser extent.

How are people feeling about him?

He's a definite 10 technically gifted, but with an added edge of physicality. Could see him being absolutely phenomenal with a Delap like battering ram doing the hard yards for him and making space.

His physicality reminds me a bit of Rooney. I've been impressed with him and can see him developing week on week. I think he'll end being an absolute star.

He’s one for the future, but I’m not convinced he’s one for the here and now. At the moment there is no end product. He may do a “Hutchinson” and come into his own in the second half of the season, but a fit Wes starts ahead of him imho

Think we may potentially have seen the last of Egeli on the right

With Wes back next week, the right hand side is set.
Egeli central rotating with nunez perhaps,
akpom and hirst

a niche perspective

Wouldn’t be against that tbh. I dont like us having inverted wingers on both sides tbh. I know Hutch played there, but he seemed more willing to go outside his man

Just let him develop. He can handle the physicality and is learning the game whilst putting in a shift. Some are absolutely desperate for him to do something amazing so they can put him up there as another cheat code with Cajuste .... but why not let him quietly improve.

He’s been ok, looks full of potential certainly: has a nice touch, looks comfortable on the ball and has a strong build.

There’s no significant end product yet: he’s not regularly … drawing fouls, beating his man, creating chances, forcing saves, scoring goals.

A couple of good assists, so hopefully he’s on his way to becoming more influential. But it’s far, far too early to judge imo.

He was learning his role the first couple of matches and was fairly quiet. He is now getting used to the freeness of our system and has grown so much. His path looks similar to Omari. It took Omari a long time to score, but once he did he was mostly unplayable. He has done well so far and as Cass Elliot sang “its getting better“.

Afraid I've upvoted that in error (didn't mean to vote at all) ... Sindre will spend this season on the right and hopefully we get a few good cameos from Burns but wouldn't stake a lot on it just yet.

I think he looks great, seems on a similar development curve to Omari. He has more physical capabilities to be a top player in the prem.

Interestingly when he joined it was pointed out he likes to take a lot of shots. I would say that he has maybe found less space in this league and that more shots are blocked / charged down. That’s one aspect of decision making he is learning.

So it will take a bit of time for him to maybe find his moments for some of those screamers that are in his locker. And in the meantime he’ll become a more rounded team player as well.

Going to be a super star patience is the key, when Hutchinson came took him to Xmas to get up to speed and that was in a side that was fluid this is a side who are finding their feet. When the first goal goes in more will follow.

He is going to play at the highest levels of the game. Not just yet, but I fully expect him to be playing for a competitive Champions League side within 3-5 years.

So he’ll still be at Ipswich then?

He's getting better every game. Imagine he'll be banging in goals left right and centre in the next couple of seasons

I’d like him to go to the byline on the outside a bit more. And get some venom /whip onto the crosses he puts in. They’re currently quite slow and floaty. His shot again Watford was powder puff so would like to see him get a bit more pace into the shots too.

No doubt big talent of the future though

I don't think those 2 things are mutually exclusive.

No doubt he has quality, but I do think it's fair to say he's been hit and miss. Wasn't great against Wrexham or Watford, and there have been games where things just haven't come off for him. I think its to be expected at such a young age and I'm confident he'll bring more consistency.

I like him he'll come good - you can see the talent is there it's just a matter of time.

However I think he's a no. 10 and not a right winger
