£1 mill pound new PA System.. but it will be loud, so anyone who doesn't like it loud, erm, be ready

ST holders who don't attend may lose their ST's if they dont resell via the club and leave empty seats

New Sir Bobby picture above the club shop - very soon

It was really strange to see how luxurious the new lounges are, new chairmans boardroom etc, and then you do think of that cobbold and west stand roof, just night and day isn't it.

Not sure if it changed, but hasn't it been the case over the past couple seasons that the club would prefer you to use the resale platform over giving it to someone else?

I doubt it as they are powerless to control what you do with your season ticket, short of insisteing on photographic id on entry.

So if I have a heart attack a couple of days before a game and in hospital fighting for my life unable to login & resell and miss the Tues night game, when I recover I will find my season ticket sold?

Well I hope they change the terms and conditions of the season ticket sales.

Plus will he do the same with the corporate areas?
Company pays for a executive box for the season, but they dont have it full for a couple of games, will he say tough we will sell it to someone else - thought not.

No, don’t be so dramatic.

They won’t, but it’s not about that, as said, they just don’t want the seat empty why do you think they allow S/Ts to be passed on at all, a lot of club charge full whack for that.

Im fully aware clubs charge full whack .... Town can make something like £20 profit on my seat at resale from what ive paid for it, I believe.....

They recently introduced a feature where you can just transfer it to someone on your Friends and Family list via the website without interacting with the ticket office. I think they just want the seat filled otherwise I'm not sure they'd be making it easier to transfer.

Most of the clubs who have a similar policy give supporters a reasonable leeway of times the ticket isn't relisted/transferred/used before it becomes an issue

It's only your seat when you sit in it, because you've reserved it at a massive discount. You don't own it.

There is little the club could do to stop a season ticket holder selling their seat on to someone for the full ticket price if the holder can find someone they trust to pay the price. I am not sure what Arnie's point really is. Season ticket holders are getting a discount for buying for the whole season in advance. Of course the club gain financially by doing the resale. It also works to the advantage of fans who want to go but can't otherwise get tickets. It only works while there is surplus demand to supply. The club wouldn't offer the scheme if we were in League 1 playing dull mid-table football.

Why does it have to be loud? Surely, get the level right so it can be clearly heard without being deafening. The problem (as the club has recognised) previously has been that it has been far too loud in some places and too quiet in others.

Are there any grounds with good PAs? I was at the new Everton ground and I felt like Michael Caine being tortured in The Ipcress File.

It needn’t be that dramatic, very easy to get stuck at work and miss an evening game one fully intends to make.

The general point on trying to make sure seats are used when demand is high is reasonable but there are potential downsides.

I thought that thing about the season tickets being empty seemed odd. They still get the money if no-one sits there. Or is he suggesting that fans might buy things inside the ground. I feel bad as I haven't bought anything inside the ground in a good few years. I just come for the football and go. :)

It’s not. Loads of the big clubs do it, Manchester United are known to be pretty harsh with it, essentially forcing people to attend cup games etc.

We seem quite fair about it as I say, club never have a problem with just passing it on to someone whereas Man Utd for example punish people for even doing that if found out!

Isn't it that they don't want empty seats, I don't think it's so much to do with money.

A Utd fan on the tram on the way home from OT last season said that Utd were going to start taking a season ticket back this season, if it was sold back to the club more than 3 times and only the person who was issued with the ST was allowed to use it, I don't know if this policy was implemented or not.

I've always wondered if they'd be better of having a set up of speakers of course, but also having earphones they could sell like they do at silverstone where you could wear them whilst in the ground

Oooh and opera glasses perhaps. That would be handy.

Unless you get facial recognition going, wont that just drive people to sell their ticket away from the club channels?

Wouldn’t be great for my son who is at university so doesn’t get to so many games at the moment, and if he lost his season ticket when would he get it back?

I do agree with imposing a requirement to resell if you don’t attend though

Umm, I assume the roofs will look better when they redo and expand the side stands, the outdated hospitality areas probably took priority for a newly promoted premier league club, considering the guests we were hosting a few months after getting promoted.
