Change this super cautious, over anxious , possession football that produces a dismal defeat or the happy with a point excuse.

How do certain players who are struggling to impress still get game time despite doing very little to influence the result.

Feel sorry for Conor Townsend who is currently out injur
ed but got minimal game time when he was available to play.
I feel Cameron Humphreys could also feel he is unlucky not to feature too.

I also suggest Leif Davis could play left midfield to give us more attacking presence.

The Hull City game was difficult to watch in big parts of the game and it was repeated v Oxford.

Oxford were there for the taking i felt. And again, the big substitution switch did not pay off. Yet, despite possession we could not turn that into goals.

After watching the game there was the usual radio post match analysis to over assess what was a game we should of won .
Giving away a sloppy goal to begin with was not necessary and the Oxford 2nd goal was from a punt up field.

When we can get the ball forward and into the box quicker with quality crosses then we may win more games convincingly.

In terms of their second goal, I’ve seen Jack Taylor do that lofty diagonal ball to no one so many times when we need a goal towards the end of games. Whether it’s Old Trafford or Oxford, same thing.

Poll: What was Connor Chaplin’s best injury time celebration?

Agree on that one. Matusiwa was obviously at fault for their first, but Taylor was less obviously but as much at fault for their second. It was a lazy and unnecessary pass.

We have been conceding that second goal so many times this season. Long diagonal ball over the top kills us often. Also I think workmanlike teams like playing us as they know what they need to do. Keep it tight and punt it forward.
