Sheff U winning 3-0, 7 shots, 3 on target, 3 goals. We could only dream of this shot conversion. Over the last three games we are: 52 Shots 21 On target Resulting in 3 goals Just nowhere near the quality of finishing required in this league. [Post edited 29 Nov 13:18]

They actually look to be going for goal first and foremost, not pissing about with aimless passing ... almost refreshing to watch and just emphasisees to me how dull our approach is now. What the hell has happened to us?

I agree, I think it just serves to highlight the bigger problem because outside of QPR or Shef U we just haven't been clinical. 37 big chances missed in 18 games. 37 times when our players are in a situation where a player should reasonably be expected to score. https://www.fotmob.com/en-GB/leagues/48/stats/season/27195/teams/big_chance_miss

Yep. Our main problems this season have been not being clinical enough first and foremost and giving up poor goals at the other end. We've conceded more than we should from the chances against us and not scored as many as we should from the chances we create. The narrative from certain fans that we don't create anything simply isn't true and doesn't stand up to scrutiny.

That's the point though, far too few of our goal attempts even hit the target. We get into lots of decent positions, and too often fail to make the keeper work.

we had as many shots on target as stoke and scored as many goals. the lesson appears to be that the championship is consistently inconsistent!

Still haunted by Egeli’s shot that missed in first half. He simply has to score that.
