Humphreys not used again! 13:31 - Nov 29 with 1369 viewsPilgrimblue

Why not? Surely he’d offer something different as current midfield isn’t creating much. Could be part of plan B plus give U21s a chance. There must be someone capable of stepping up otherwise what’s the point!!

Was just about to post a thread on this as well. He must think what the fck am I actually doing here? We need a goal, the midfield isn't creating a great deal, I had a great season of goalscoring and creating last year and I can't get on the pitch when we are chasing a game.

Keeping him was always a sign our transfer business hadn't quite gone to plan.

It's clear the KM does not believe he is ready to positively impact the team and so he's only been kept around to fill a gap in the case of injuries.

I suspect he gets a loan or transfer in January, which maybe the case for 2 or 3 others as well

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Agreed, give him a start or sell him in Jan. He's 22 now, not a youngster.

I'd love to see him given a go.

Our youth pathway is rubbish.

Hes 22, if he's not ready now in KMs eyes, he never will be.

Would love any player to do well for us, Humphreys very much included, but his lack of inclusion must mean he's below the level of his peers in training. He isn't a youngster needing protection after all, while every sign is that McKenna likes him on a personal level.

Yes you and me. McK clearly doesn’t believe in youth as don’t think he’s given anyone a chance.
Either our recruitment is pants or coaching is!
As you’ve said Humph isn’t young so must be worth a chance or release him he deserves a go at a team that might appreciate his talents.

Fanbase calling for Humphreys and Burns. We are still starting Taylor and Hirst, yet at the forum Mark Ashton is god and we have spent hundreds of millions in two summers. There for sure is a disconnect somewhere!

Egeli is 19, so I’m not sure why you think KM is averse to giving youth a chance.

The issue is that on the whole our an academy has been rubbish for years. This is being addressed but it will take some time to bleed through into players being ready to play for the first team

Yep. Obviously McKenna feels he is not worthy of game time. Something is not right

He's not good enough, simple. if he was he'd be playing. Lad needs to be sold in January along with Elkan.

Our youth development has been in the doldrums for years, it'll take a good 10 years of CAT1 to fix that. As you say, he's 22, if he hasn't done enough to break into the first team now, I'm not sure he will.

Loan for both him and for Elkan in January I suspect, and I wouldn't be surprised to see us go for someone like Matt Crooks again to rotate with Azor.

Agree. He ripped up League One, so the obvious next step in his development in the Championship, no point going back to League One again, yet where is he? His development is stalling not playing any games, but that's what happens when you lose to Bromley in the Carabao Cup.
