Whilst your underlying point is excellent, your figures are a long way out. Wes cost £125k from Fleetwood, 25% of figure you are quoting. That makes him an even bigger bargain than you think he is. He can take on, beat opponents & put in telling crosses, not forgetting his tracking back (look at stats when he plays). A fit Burns will be like a new signing that nowadays would be at least £25m if Mcateer was £12m.😉 |  | | |

Not to get too bogged down in stats but Burns scored 1 in 9 for Fleetwood, why did we ever sign him?

We chucked a lot of money at Mcateer, both in fee and wages. Early signs suggest that’s not going to be a great deal. We could argue until Xmas about transfers but whatever, the outcome is an unbalanced squad that is yet to really click. |

In the last two games, he's missed from 3 yards and friday hit it as hard has he could to the corner flag when he could have put it on a plate for an easy tap it
Yes some thoughts go OTT on him, but the frustrations about him aren't based on frustrations of the team, as an individual he's not been great. |  |
