Playing an annoyed animal - no backward steps tonight please, Town 14:51 - Dec 2 with 800 viewspatrickswell

Blackburn resent having to play this match tonight. Ismael bitched and whined and moaned and wanted footballing convention turned on its head, but it did him no good, And tonight, a long awaited replay takes place.

My fervent hope is that Town feel no embarrassment about tonight’s game. Blackburn had their chance back in September. They didn’t take care enough about the state of their pitch to ensure they got the points and our attitude tonight must be that we have nothing to apologise for or feel embarrassed about. We’re here and we’re here to win and we will fight you every step way of the way to take the points.

Reminds me of what the situation when we played Barnsley whilst in L1.

If any club feels embarrassment about tonight it should be Blackburn. It’s their fault not ours that the match was abandoned and has to be replayed.

Far too much is made of the fact this game is being replayed and the potential psychology of it. The players wont give a monkeys.

Players won't but the crowd might and that could potentially add something to an otherwise ordinary game.

If previous visits are to go by, the ground will be half empty so I personally don’t see it being much of an issue

I'm not too worried about that, they're both welcome to vent if they wish.

I bet theirs will, and that means ours will be reminded of it throughout the game. So I actually disagree.

Interesting to see if Greaves plays.

I doubt it. Irrespective of what they say publicly about it I'm sure they all know that pitch wasn't playable. Their ground staff have already come out and said as much, any professional footballer will recognise that too.

True, but we were still about to lose.

Where on earth is there even any suggestion that anyone associated with ITFC will feel embarrassed about tonight’s match? I for one am hoping for a greaves injury time winner whilst it’s hammering down with rain and his header from a corner doesn’t bounce due to a puddle and rolls under the goalkeeper in slow motion.

It wasn't a football match. It was totally unplayable from half time.
Let Blackburn take us on on a proper surface, then we'll see who is the best football team.

Poll: would you rather

If honey badger we don't stand a chance. Can batter them as much as possible and they would still get back up and grab a winner

Weird take that we would be embarrassed, what would we possibly be embarrassed about?
