| So 21:00 - Dec 4 with 2665 views | GlasgowBlue | Your team for Cov. Not what I think we will go with but....... Walton Johnson O'Shea Greaves Davis Nunez Taylor Cajuste Jaden Walle Egeli Hirst I'm bringing Johnson in to play more as a wing back, like Davis on the left, rather than the more defensive minded Furlong. Young played Tuesday and won't play twice in four days. I'm bringing Greaves back in as he was partnering O'Shea the last time we kept a clean sheet. He also adds more balance being left footed and links up well with Davis. I'm going with a three man midfield at the expense of our number 10. Nunez to play in the deeper role, picking up the ball and spraying it about. Cajuste and Taylor just in front of him. I'm loathed to drop Matusiwa. He has been a standout this season but he's been overplayed and looks knackered. A tired pass cost us a goal at Oxford and he was lucky to stay on the pitch against Blackburn. I'm sacrificing my 10 in favour of the extra midfielder, with Both Jaden and Walle Egeli playing more as a left and right 10 rather than wingers. Having Davis and Johnson as wing backs makes up for the lack of width. Thoughts? | |

Perhaps it is 6 changes BUT .... I mean nothing out of the ordinary in terms of personnel PEDANT

| So on 13:32 - Dec 5 with 454 views | OldFart71 | Given that Akpom and Azon have been a waste of space whether starting or coming on why not start with Hirst and bring Kipre on if we need a goal I believe he started off up front. Van't be no worse. As for Azon I'd look to send him back to his club in January, sadly it's just not worked out for him. He looks lost. Maybe if a couple of his early chances had gone in. I don't know. But he is taking a place up in the squad and when you consider that Hirst isn't exactly setting the league alight he has had the opportunity to take his chance. | | | |

I would play Taylor rather than Cajuste but that is fairly close to what I expect it to be as well.

Yep. Let them worry about us. When we were promoted from League One and the Championship it was mostly with Leif Davis and Harry Clarke providing attacking runs on the right and the left. Our mantra was outscore the opposition.

I admire that but think Coventry aren't the team to begin that philosophy against. When we were promoted it worked against most of the lower sides but didn't against those at the top.

don't forget resting our best defensive midfielder against the best attack in the league (who've scored 20 goals more than the next best (us))!

Who has looked absolutely knackered in the last two games, gave a goal away against Oxford and should have been sent off against Blackburn. A 100% fit Matusiwa would be my first name on the team sheet. A tired error prone Matusiwa is not.

if you're going to play your full-backs like wing-backs and dispense with the 3rd centre-back, you're going to need a defensive shield in midfield, don't see that nunez is the answer! not against change, but it has to be evolution rather than revolution and best not to do it against a team who are currently head and shoulders above the rest of the league. azor's not as good at walking the suspension tightrope as morsy, so he'll be getting a rest soon enough!

I think the point is that all these people that know better than McKenna are often suggesting changes that McKenna would be very rightly condemned for when they badly failed. I do think Humphreys should have come into the equation by now and am confident he wouldn't let anyone down. But I don't watch training and I may well be wrong.

I think this is pretty much where I am too.
