...Jack Taylor made a crunching tackle near the half way line in front of the Cobbold (incorrectly IMHO given as a foul) and I'm pretty sure it injected a sense of urgency and passion into our whole performance thereafter.

I’ve always seen something in him, and Jack Clarke for that matter, but other Town fans were quick to write them off.

Very pleased to see them hitting a consistent run of form and run of games and contributing the way they are.

Lovely run from Clarke for the Azon goal. Has so much more space in the middle rather than being limited on the wing.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over

I was going to ask how did he play because he’s one of the key links in making that line up our strongest one (at least when he’s really on it). Missed yesterday but going Wednesday

Definitely a foul and a bit lucky not to get booked for it really given he threw himself in and slammed into their player’s foot before toeing the ball away.

Like Taylor but have said before he seems to be getting a helluva lot of credit for things I’m not convinced he’s wholly responsible for. Think one thing it did do was get the crowd off the players’ backs and onto the ref’s which I suppose can be chalked down as a positive.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Definitely seen something in Jack Clarke but this season is the first I have seen why we pursued Taylor for so long. I definitely was one who felt he wasn't good enough (I recall Gav downvoting me for pretty much saying so) but am delighted he is proving me wrong. Definitely the best partner we have for Matusiwa right now.

More like Matusiwa is the best partner we have for Taylor. I thought Jack T was v good yesterday, should start all the time.

Me to should of had a lot more game time by now, I don't think he really lets us down especially effort wise, good honest player,

One of the most insightful comments I've seen from a footballer was James Norwood, when he said that particularly when he'd come on as a sub, if he sensed taht the atmosphere was a bit flat, he would do a crunching tackle on someone, even if it meant getting a yellow, to up the ante and get the crowd screaming again. I've looked at the game differently since then, instead of thinking "what a knob" when laying an opposition player on the floor, to realising that it's what we need to lift the entire stadium.
