Im just about to take my daughter to the Brixton Academy to see her favourite band The Last Dinner Party. Thats a great venue for a 1st timer. Mine was Shakin Stevens at the Ipswich Regent.

Radio Stars at the Chancellor Hall in Chelmsford. Must have been Jan 1978.

I saw the Radio Stars supporting Eddie & the Hot Rods at Oxford Poly in the same year. I had had a few beers, finished the beer I had nicked from the bouncer on the way in & when the Radio Stars came on, I took an instant dislike to their lead singer & chucked my empty glass at the stage, which hit the drum kit. Luckily, it was a plastic one.
I reckon I was lucky to survive that one.

I used to go fishing all the time with his Dad and brothers, and him occasionally. His Mum and Dad used to run the bakers on Queensway and Irene became well known among ITFC supporters. His brother Andrew also rode for Ipswich Witches. [Post edited 9 Dec 11:37]
