News: Every 2026 World Cup match will feature two "hydration breaks," no matter the weather. Each half will pause for exactly three minutes midway through. It's a player welfare measure. It also has sporting & commercial implications. More @theathleticfc.bsky.social:

To be fair it is like poking the beehive with a stick. Both countries have their laws so why not just chose a different game.

Well I didn’t watch the last World Cup ( apart from England v Wales,so much for principles)
I have decided not to watch the forthcoming World Cup, a total farce and simply a money making exercise.

Soccer is an old fashioned word for football as we know it, it’s an abbreviation of Association Football. EM Forster mentions soccer in A Room With A View.

He's already threatened to move games out of Woke Democrat Cities (TM), so I wouldn't totally rule out Seattle losing hosting honours.

Now for those of us with a dodgy prostate, these will be great to time alongside a pee break. No need to pause the remote.

Thank you Donald and Gianni for thinking of our welfare.

Don't get the hate for "soccer". It originated in England and is all over the archival commentary of us winning the league, so must have been used into the 60s.

Submit your 1-24 league prediction here -https://www.twtd.co.uk/forum/514096/page:1 - for the opportunity to get a free Ipswich top.
