Poll: Is it more annoying when builders

First thing I noticed was Lukic being indecisive with what to do with the ball at his feet.

That 92/93 rule change really caught out some keepers who had always been able to just pick the ball up. I believe our own Craig Forrest got sent off early in the season for getting in a tizz too.

That was a good day, I don't think it was exactly an upset though.

Also, Norwich lost 7-1 at Blackburn to make it even better.

Not my YouTube so can't comment on why the poster thought it was an 'upset'.
Had forgotten how many good players, and about to be good players Leeds had back then.

Had especially forgotten that David Rocastle ever played for them

Always worth looking at the 39 minute mark for the second penalty decision. David Batty kicks Goddard up in the air, basically.

It's not exactly subtle.

I don’t remember it particularly as an ‘upset’. Promoted teams were often a lot closer to the top sides in those days - it was the first season of the Premier League and the money had yet to take effect.

I was at the game and we played well. Deserved the win. I had forgotten Cantona played for them that day along with the others in their team.

Looking at the attendances, there were of course some sell outs but plenty of games did not. But then it was only in the previous season that 9k of the hardy souls turned up to see us beat Bristol City 4-2.

How times change.

Craig was sent of in the first couple minutes for a sliding tackle, outside the areas , which was deemed a serious foul. Three match ban followed.

Amazing how different PL football was back then. Obviously far more long ball, but so many things made the game better to watch:
Virtually no time wasting. Throw ins, free kicks, goal kicks & corners taken quickly, without all the grappling.
Throw ins taken from the correct place, rather than players routinely stealing 10 yards.
Very little dissent - a few rough tackles, but the players picked themselves up & got on with the game. No waving imaginary yellow cards.
Ref - David "the headmaster" Elleray - kept the game flowing, rather than endlessly giving fouls for minimal contact.
I reckon the ball must have been in play for way longer than modern games.

In fairness Clive baker had a good season after that. Never heard of him back for reunions though.
