The football isn't PL standard.

If every game was as wide open as this, then we'd get a lot more goals. Unfortunately it's not.

I'm assuming Sheff utd were not like this against us?

They were a lot more compact and roughed us up

I note they have a totally different centre back pairing for this, no McCallum on the left either

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

So much better.

Champ is such a great league.

Prem league is nowhere near as good.

I haven't seen many Championship games played at this intensity so far this season, a lot of games have been lower-quality stodge-fests.

I much prefer watching the championship games, the quality is better in the Premier league but the entertainment levels are higher in the championship

Not sure about this. There's a lot of turgid games and awful teams to watch in the Championship.

Maybe. But don't you miss the 15 minutes of VAR breaks?

Too much anti football in Championship but when both set out to win it is more entertaining than Premier League, defensive errors add to it.

They were but not sure that’s as accurate as it once was.

Historically if there was a PL and a CH game on at the same time, I’d select the CH game every time. Now however, I think I’d turn on the PL.

The Champ has slowly turned into PL style football now with both teams setting up to be solid and trying to nick a goal. It’s become noticeably worse this year. I haven’t got the stats but it seems so often that whoever scores the first goal wins the game.

I also think it’s part of the reason why some of our fans have labelled us boring to watch. Birmingham aside, I can’t think of a single team who has really gone at us. There’s very little space to exploit which means we have to be more strategic in our build up.

Last night was a rare (and refreshing) one off with both teams going at it. Unfortunately it proves that the defensive, more compact style perhaps would have been more beneficial for SU and will only encourage teams to continue with this approach.

I’m looking forward to Cov v Boro, will be interesting to see how both teams approach it. Coventry having a terrible time but still have that clinical edge going forward that could really punish Boro if they leave as much space as they did SU last night.
