No def info, but I'm going to guess that it'll be Castore.

Purely on the basis of the fire-sale of the shirts and training kit, but the fact that the Umbro-branded retro stuff is still being sold at full price, which suggests that it'll still be available next season.

I can't see that any other brand would be happy with Umbro-branded stuff being sold in the club shop, so it would suggest that it could well be Castore, who own the Umbro licence in the UK.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

Or it stays as Umbro - I read earlier that Castore are picking and choosing which brand they use for which team.

Hasn't our initial deal with Umbro run out or about to?

Runs out this summer.

Given that a deal will already have been wrapped up, the massive discounts on kit suggest to me that it's not Umbro - I don't think I've ever seen the club discount so deeply and so quickly before, since GC20 took over.

That suggests to me that they've got a firm date beyond which the Umbro stuff cannot be sold.

Yes and obviously quite a surplus of shirts because of the ‘Promoted 26’ given to every player and staff member on Saturday and the ones in the shop being sold with the printing on the front.

You prompted me to take a look at the club shop. How much pointless tat can one club sell!?

Not sure they thought this one through:

I think the club massively overstretched itself when it started producing 3 new kits a season, especially for our size support and the economic realities the support face right now, which is why so many went unsold this season, especially now there isn't an Ed Sheeran logo on the front to hook in the casuals. They had a similar fire sale last season, and there's still some of the old shirts for sale in the shop and online, despite us being in the top flight that time.

I think someone needs to make a sensible choice of just going back to one really good new shirt for a 2 season cycle (like Brentford have), alternating between home/away and a third where necessary. The quality has gone down the toilet due to the sheer volume we are producing. Also, will be better for the environment. Vinted especially is littered with shirts now, they are literally worthless!

Oh my Christ. Never spotted that before.

Trouble is people do buy all the pointless tat, expensive pointless tat at that but helps fill the coffers.

The reason the kits didn’t sell that well is because they weren’t that great. I did like the home kit but the red one was awful and the other one was a bit meh.

Who knows at this point, but as our deal with umbro is ending and some of the backlash surrounding Castore, I reckon we may have a change up. Probably move to a US company, New balance may be a good shout, just seen Spam have signed up with them.

Nike sounds like a decent shout - purely on the basis that they offer 'stadium' shirts and 'authentic' ones.

With the focus on revenue streams, it wouldn't surprise me to see a supplier who'll offer a £65 standard shirt, alongside a £120 premium version.

Very good point actually, I'm sure they have all been working out how they can generate more revenue and if that's a worthwhile venture.

I'm sure we will find out in due course! Nike would be decent, someone we have never worked with before.

The red kit is one of our all time worst, in my opinion. Pretty certain our record in it was very poor too.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

Based on what I’ve seen Ashton wear in interviews, I wouldn’t rule out marks and Spencer’s as the new kit supplier

Yes apart from winning at QPR, Swansea, Coventry, Derby and Sheff Wed it was quite poor

Plus draws against Birmingham, West Brom and Blackburn.

Better than my memory suggests then!

What shirt were we wearing for the 7 away defeats?

Tbf we did lose three times in the red, Preston, Leicester and Portsmouth.

Oxford, Sheff U and Boro was blue.

Wrexham third shirt (cup and league)

It's going to be Bukta Sports. That or Le Coq Sportif.
