That was about the loudest roar for a goal at PR I can remember. Certainly this century.

A great moment. Took the roof off. Just a shame about the second leg. But when Tommy scored....
| Anderson goal this day 11 years ago on 21:59 - May 9 with 662 views | Joey_Joe_Joe_Junior | I remember seeing us beat Boro 2-0 at home on my annual Christmas trip and we were superb that December afternoon in 2014. Thought we were going to make it automatically after watching that game, even though it was a bit of a team full of loans with some talent and an in form striker up top. Barely made the playoffs, must have had a pretty poor second half of that season. Norwich squad was so much better. I canāt remember much between this era and the disaster of Hurst and then the Lambert relegation, did we ever get remotely close to the playoffs in 15-16,16-17? | |

Wasn't even a goal that put us ahead.

Let's just not talk about 16/17. We finished 7th in 15/16, 5 points off the playoffs in the end. We blew it, though, in my opinion. We only won 6 games from February onwards. I think our real downfall of that season started against Bolton away from home, conceding a last minute penalty to throw away 2 points. They ended up finishing last that season. A few games later, we lost to Rotherham at home, who finished 21st. We later drew to Charlton at home in a goalless draw, who ended up getting relegated that season in 22nd. We later drew to Fulham at home. Knudsen rescued us a point in the 91st minute. They ended up finishing 20th. That's 9 points we lost out on, we needed 6 due to an inferior goal difference, and we could have got 5 of those if we didn't concede the penalty against Bolton and lose to Rotherham rather than beat them, all we needed after that was a win against Fulham or Charlton. I was at the opening game at Brentford that year, (I think Knudsenās debut) another 2 points thrown away! In my head I had it we were there or there abouts quite late in that season. Was Murphy still playing for us? Was it wholesale changes from the year before with the Hunts etc? I canāt remember too much from it tbh! Wait, Fulham finished 20th?! So 2016/17 was beginning of the end of being competitive in the top half Iām assuming⦠Norwich were instantly back down from their playoff triumph as I remember an early season 1-1 with the aforementioned Knudsen on the score sheet that August in 2016. Not really. Even 2017/18, the year of Mick's departure, we were "only" seven points off sixth in early March, when we played Sheffield United and relegation threatended Hull back-to-back at home, off the back of two successive away wins. Unfortunately we only picked up two points from the next six and, of course, after the home win against Barnsley, Mick walked.
