| Hackney costing Everton £10M on 16:14 - Jun 3 with 1936 views | norfsufblue | We should at least make other clubs pay more for him.... after all we were prepared to pay £20m+ to get us promotion last year... cant see why hes worth LESS to us with that achieved if we really want him | | | |

Try telling that to my wife and in-laws.
| Hackney costing Everton £10M on 16:19 - Jun 3 with 1828 views | J2BLUE | That's crazy. Surely half of the Prem would take him for that price? You would think Boro could get £20m fairly easily. | | | |

In cases like these (nearing end of contract) a lot of it is up to the player. It's all about persuading them with game time, salary and bonuses etc. The fee between the clubs is then whatever it is, Boro don't have much power in the situation.

Have you watched them this season. For a Moyes side they play some bloody good football.

| Hackney costing Everton £10M on 16:31 - Jun 3 with 1688 views | HighgateBlue | The Guardian said £15m yesterday, with "stiff competition", so it seems to be random number generator territory. Boro doubtless have pressure from the player and the ticking clock, but if there's even a couple of bidders it would seem very unlikely for him to go for anywhere near as low as £10m. If the previously published figure was anywhere near true, we agreed to pay a lot more than that for him. And given that we had a bid accepted, the figures in the press for our fee are more likely to have been right than speculation that varies by 50% one day to the next in the national press. I appreciate his contract situation is different now, but he's still the same player, and if there's pressure from other teams, I can't see why Town would now only want to pay £10m as a red line. Plus, we've got a few quid, we really like the player, we have a need in that position, and we'd need to outbid the bigger clubs in order for Boro and the player to agree to him coming here. I'd be amazed if he goes for £10m, unless there's some release clause that is now able to be triggered, but I don't think that's being reported. | | | |

They do. Even though Sunderland turned them over the other week, they played the game properly. He’ll suit Everton and visa versa. Settled, attractive team safe from relegation with an excellent manager. And if the fee is anywhere near reported, he’ll be on a big fat signing on fee and wage. It’s a great move for him.

Its a game of poker. Boro can still demand £20m. Then it comes down to whether they think he would sit out his contract in the Champ. I very much doubt he would, so its unlikely they are at risk of losing him on a free.

Got them to the lofty heights of 13th. Were absolutely crap end of the season and Ndiaye's off. Bottom 5 guaranteed next season.

Exactly. They don't need to accept £10m bids.
