I think that £6m is why he was mellow, ie £6m these days is nothing. If it had been a recruiting embargo for the entire season then I'm sure he would be different.
I guess its the irony of the situation, ie 'you've been naughty you must sell £6m worth of players', then 2 weeks later 'ooh here is £120m to spend on more players'.
Worse case if he does have to sell a couple of players cheaper than their actual value to hit the £6m, who gives a f*** as he'll have another £120m to spend | | | |
