Downes could be like it here, so it’s nothing new to us. Obviously if players are getting racially abused that’s very different and totally unacceptable.

Beckham got a redemption arc. Which similar black British sportsperson has one? Your idea that Jude has to grow up is deranged, he’s first choice for the biggest club in the world and for his country. The narrative around Jude Hamilton Sterling etc is the same we have seen for many young black players at Ipswich since Dalian.
I don’t care to argue about it anymore. I realise I am not changing any minds and am very boring on this topic, but I’m right.

Let’s be honest, it’s not just because he’s confident and young, it’s also because he’s very very good and looks good as well. Jealously makes some people very insecure …especially if they are racist as well.

That’s my take too. There are inadequate losers in this world who feed off jealousy and love to hate.

To me it widely seems to be press generated as he can't be bothered dealing with them, which is fair enough in my eyes. I've not met one person in real life who has a dislike for Bellingham.
