I suppose it depends where your point of reference is. He’s been a great player for us in the Championship, although there are players who’ve turned out better stats in the championship and not kicked on in the PL. He wasn’t great for us in the PL, but that was a season heavily impacted by injury of course.
I’m not convinced he’s a safe bet for a PL side. He’s got the potential, but would need to deliver on the promise and kick on a bit to be a decent PL player. | |

Indeed. He struggled in the Prem with Villa then signed for us and didn't excel in it. He had a decent season last season and is now back in the Premier League. I can only imagine that he has a strong indication he isn't in O'Neil's plans if he is looking to move on because it isn't going to be an upward move from where he is at this point. |  |
