Thoroughly thoroughly superb.

Passing football, chances galore, high press, defensively solid.

One of the best halves I’ve seen from Town in years.

We sat back expecting a push from them after half time that only half happened. Biggest issue was that Sears and Edwards ran themselves into the ground by the hour mark and we started to lose shape......and Jackson looked lost when he came on.

Ipswich and “Sat back” just do not mix too well

How did Rowe look when he came on? Oh and did Jordan Roberts play well?

completely agree with that. Roberts also was fantastic 1st half, but was done in after 60 minutes, and we lost shape. 1st half was very clear PL had told them to roll the ball from Bart to the backs and keep possession, but 2nd half resorted far more to kicking it out and losing possession. That 1st half is one to remember, just a shame we couldnt convert another of the chances, as the game would have been safe.

Roberts put in the best shift from any of our strikers in any game this season.

What happened to the fitness that Hurst was supposed to have installed? Obviously did half a job as we run out of gas at 60 mins. Keep the faith, I like what I see with Lambert in charge. There is still plenty of time.

Really good first half. Excellent all round stuff. Shame we dropped too deep in the second. Roberts was out of puff when subbed, but his departure meant the ball didn’t stick thereafter. . I am a believer and we can build on that.

It harked back back to when Magic and Holland strode like giants.

Loved to see MP and LC go wide to take ball from Bart. That really opened up the play.
Reading did well to stop it in the second half and that unfortunately stopped all of our creativity.

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

He should be delighted with himself. To step up that many levels and have an impact. well played.

He looked spent at 50 minutes.

The were three times in the second half where a midifleder bombing on through the middle could have scored. It begged for Holland, Warky, or someone to bust a gut and get in the box.

I do feel that when we can have Dozzell playing regularly he would have taken one of those.

Spot on

Also reading pushed their strikers up to split the cb/fb to stop us playing out Hence more long kicks from Bart
