JC is a bloody shambles 20:56 - Jan 22 with 15871 viewsmos

He has to be one of the main factors as to why Labour haven’t quite overcome the conservatives in votes.

During a time of national reformation of great importance his aims seem to be solely to just bash TM’s efforts and proposed deals, rather than to come to a solution. In most circumstances it would be acceptable for JC to heavily focus on critisising the government, as he is a main figure of the opposition. However at this point in time, with not much time left until the 29th of March, we need to be doing all and everything possible to come to a suitable solution to how we shall leave the EU (if at all).

Though his lack of ideas/solutions make him appear a tart, thus not helping the situation as he shoots down anything TM proposes without an alternative, putting us back to square 1 in negotiations.

We should be forgetting ‘Red Vs Blue’ and instead finding the best possible solution to this crisis. Not declining invitations with the Prime Minister to discuss important aspects of Brexit, which may determine the futures and careers of many of the country’s population.

Simultaneously blaming him for not being good enough opposition and for not making it easy for the government to do what they want is an interesting development for the Corbyn haters.

Jeremy Corbyn is great, he clearly shows everyone how bad socialism is! If you were undecided before them hopefully he has made up your mind for you. Behind him, a rabble of privileged opportunists, waiting to wreak havoc on a country that is already broke!

Imagine your posts if Corbyn wins the next election with a second referendum as part of the Labour manifesto

So, from referendum to now, when do think he has represented competence in this matter?

To be fair he has the same problem as May. If he calls for a second vote he'll plss off 50% of his core vote especially in the North and if he doesn't call for a second vote he'll plss off the other 50%.

So he's playing a waiting game in the hope it ultimately results in a GE. That gives him a bigger problem if he did win a GE as then he'll have to make decisions and given he's been a civil servant all his life that will mean it's the first times he's ever had to make a decision.

Obviously his other problem is if he doesn't make a firm decision soon on Bexit he'll plss off a hell of a lot of Labour voters as it's proving the Conservatives right in that he's incapable of making a decision.

Whatever way you look at it JC is f@cked.

Campaigning on a GE manifesto that compromised on the areas of Brexit that now lie in irreparable tatters.
Setting out over two years ago the areas the government would need to consider compromising on in order to win support of the house.
Not drawing any unrealistic red lines that would go on to cause irreparable damage to negotiations.
Refusing to make bizarre threats to the EU or design policy around the anti-immigrant rhetoric pushes by the media.
Appointing a competent Brexit Secretary.
Forcing the government to have a meaningful vote on the withdrawals agreement.
Forcing the government into releasing financial advice.
Forcing the government ito releasing legal advice.
Holding the government in contempt of parliament for not releasing legal advice.
Not giving in to less than a third of naive Labour MPs calling for a People’s Vote despite the media portraying him to be denying what most of his MPs want.
Not giving in to calls to table a no confidence in the government vote prematurely *before* the Tories saw their own no confidence vote flop.
Sticking exactly to the Labour policy on Brexit decided at the party conference in September.
Refusing to pander to the PMs ‘cross-party talks’ PR stunt which was dismissed by all that attended as a complete farce.
Withdrawing amendments to ensure the government were defeated on their central policy of the last 2 years by the biggest majority in the history of the HoC.
Defeating the government on a finance bill for the first time since the 70s.

I really could go on and on.

Perhaps it would be better to let me know which areas you feel he has shown incompetence in.

No, not at the moment

I’ve always had my doubts about him. He’s held up as a figure of light and virtue and revered by so many. Yet if I’m honest I reckon some of the things his supporters attribute to him are a bit far fetched for me. Turning water into wine, for example. And don’t even start me on this coming back from the dead business. All a bit shifty if you ask me.

He has shown incompetence in Brexit in failing to offer any solutions other than waffle

He blames May for not moving on her red lines, and then said he won't support any Brexit deal unless it fulfils his red lines on custom union etc.

Anyone who thinks Diane Abbott is competent enough to warrant a position in the shadow cabinet should not get anywhere near to running this country....and won't.

It’s not his job to offer solutions. And besides, even if it could have been it wasn’t because May spent 2.5yrs refusing to talk to the other parties (as is her right).

Of course it is his job to offer solutions. This isn't about Tory/Lab/Lib etc it is about the future of Britain. I despise this government but Corbyn has done nothing to get me to vote for him either which is pretty remarkable given how bad this present lot are.

Now now, Diane was very competent in the bedroom (allegedly).

You can picture the scene, DA walks into the room and tells JC she wants to be in the shadow cabinet, JC spits out his tea ' you???'. DA then reminds JC of their old bike holiday to East Germany. "But the bike wasn't that old" replied JC, "No I meant me" responds DA. JC looks at her "ok you're in the shadow cabinet but please never talk about figures in interviews"

Another day another Corbyn attack. You Tories are getting desperate - the latest being to try and shift some of the blame FOR THE THING YOUR CREATED LET'S NOT FORGET onto Corbyn. Pathetic.

Labour went from well behind the Tories to almost catching them (and forcing them into the bed with the DUP in order to form a government) BECAUSE of Corbyn.

May didn't want to listen to anyone else... now she's effing desperate and is actually playing the political game herself trying to get Corbyn's hands dirty too.

The government have had a couple of years to sort this ...now you're trying to rope Corbyn in to help you out.

And he hasn't flatly declined anyway.

Sort out your sh!t or get off the potty, Tories. And stop trying to blame everyone else.

I bet Bloots will downarrow this.

Classic anti Corbyn pro Corbyn reply.

May is cr@p and Corbyn doesn't have to offer any ideas as he's not the PM.

And the classic; JC is great because in the last election Labour came second and if JC wasn't the leader they would have come... ummmmmm.... second

I've voted Labour most, not all, but most of my life so I'm far from being a Tory sympathiser but if you think Corbyn is doing a good job then you are clearly mistaken. He has had a massive opportunity, the best chance he will ever have, to convince the electorate he is the man to lead Britain yet he as blown it. Instead of trying to offer solutions, work with people and showing he cares about the future of Britain, he as now alienated himself and his party from millions of floating voters by acting like a petulant school kid. If I want to vote Labour again but can't then how many of the millions of floating voters out there feel the same. Unless the Labour party wake up and realise Corbyn is a liability then they will sadly never govern again and the Tory party can then do as they wish.
