It makes little difference in reality does it but yes. And true although last night Root and Stokes against Roach and Gabriel with the new ball was superb cricket.

Can someone explain why Bairstow is batting 7 and keeping, and Jennings back in the team.
Bairstow seems to be able to get his own way all the time, he's a very good batsman but I don't rate him as a keeper - but his toys go out the pram when he doesn't get to keep like a spoilt kid.
If he isn't prepared to bat at 3, then Root needs to step up and do it - but one of those 2 needs to. |  |
