Serious question..as much as I love Lambert (and haven’t wanted a manager here to succeed as much since the days of Magilton)..does he need Culverhouse by his side for this to work successfully?
Sorry if this has already been asked/covered.

This is a Budgie trope because they are really upset that Lambert left them for Villa. They are desperately trying to pretend that their moderate success was in spite of Lambert.
It was also clear at the Supporters Club thing in London the other week that his relationship with Stewart Taylor and Matt Gill is very strong. That's more important than the individual isn't it?

I'd say he needs some of the sicknotes who are hiding in the physio room: fairly obvious now that Adeyemi and Huws don't have the stomach for the fight. Much better they claim they weren't responsible for the relegation than show up too late to save us.

Mick did, emphatically. Turd polisher extraordinaire when he first came in; he didn't need excuses.

To be fair Mick had better players to work with, they just needed better organising. Also there was no loan transfer window back then so he could bring players in whenever.
Don't get me wrong he did a great job, especially at the back I believe we won a lot of games 1-0.
