Holy seems to have claimed a starting place at Burton.

Downes is turning into a really good, wiry, battling midfielder who isn’t afraid to go forward. But also one that needs to clam down.

Our game plan relies on Judge finding Norwood in the box, which he can do with ease at times.

Huws looks good. I feel some people have gone way over the top about his qualities and I’m still not convinced by he could ‘boss’ L1 but he was better than I thought he’d be today. He’s able to turn quickly and carry the ball. Makes it look simple.

Garbutt’s left food isn’t so brilliant on first viewing. Hopefully just an off day.

Downes sending off was only because 20 players piled in. It was a completely nothing incident, and I didn't see a head butt.
I like Wolfy.
I'm very pleased with Holy. Not much to do but really smart with distribution. Always looking for a pass.
Huws can clearly play.
Judge looked interested which he might not have done - considering.

From what I have seen, the intent was very clearly there. I don't think he landed it but he went after the bloke and definitely tried to butt him. Let's hope the ref didn't see it as too bad and doesn't recommend further action.

Huws is not yet fully fit. Will he ever be? Let's hope so and let's hope when he is, he is good enough to boss any midfield in this league. MM had high hopes of him in the Championship.

I liked Woolfenden from the little I saw of him last season.

Norwood was soooo irritated that Judge wasn't supplying him! I take that as a positive - they've never played in a match together before

Well I could have missed it but it was still nothing.
It was the 20 man pile in which led to the red cards.

Huws is a superb player.

Physically dominant, carries the ball well, passes well, tackles well, heads it well and scores goals.

When fit he bosses championship games let alone League 1.

Skuse (or Downes), Huws and Judge is a top half championship midfield on paper.

Fingers crossed we get to see it.

Garv has a blind spot over Huws because of who signed him.

You have a hot spot because of who did sign him. 💔

Incorrect. I'm a fan of Huws as a footballer because he's patently a very good one, when fit of course.

Aren't you the chap who had/has a boner for Hurst, the worst manager in ITFC history? You'll excuse me for not taking you too seriously.

Huws needs football, he hasn't played a competitive fixture since 2017 !!!! He will get better and better as the season progresses. The main thing is that he has been able to sustain a prolonged period of intensive training and games. Hopefully his body will sort itself out, like a lot of footballers after the age of 25 when their body fully develops.

Agreed Downes is superb, but i can see him missing out because of Skuse. It's an interesting dilemma, as Skuse obviously offers experience and leadership, but Downes is probably the more effective CDM in terms of his overall contribution and ability to cover ground. Skuse as RB might be more of a thing as the season goes on !

Garbutt isn't as good as the likes of Lankester, Edwards, Rowe in those wide positions and i would like to see him move to LB, as his ability to cross from deep could be a real asset.

Next week i'd like to see a big, nasty striker like Murphy sign, as i think we aren't far off, but having to rely on Roberts as our third striker could see us drop points.

Why who signed him? He must have left a while back, I suppose?

From what I’ve seen of both GK’s Holy is streets ahead. I’d be disappointed if he wasn’t number 1 going into the season.
