Unless, of course, he let it urn down rather than we did. I doubt even paying wages we could not afford would have persuaded him to sign with the amount of abuse he was receiving from some of our owns fans because he said nice things about MM. Clearly, for whatever reason, PL didn't see him as part of his plans once he got here anyway. |  |

We did try. It was Hurst that wasn't keen to keep him. With Jonas being in the last year of his contract Jonas's agent started touting his player and bigger things were mooted. PL wasn't keen on Jonas once he discovered that Jonas's mind was already made up.
It's a little disturbing that every issue seems to bring an assumption that the club is useless. Situations develop because. there doesn't have to be a culprit. | |

There was uncertainty regarding the clubs management that coincided with the running down of his contract. Evans was never going to make Knudsen sign at that point. Who would sign a contract under that uncertainty. By the time PL came in, Jonas had made up his mind. No fault of Jonas. No fault of PL and no Fault of ME. It was what it was. | |
