Flounce season is in full swing 22:10 - Oct 23 with 1655 viewsSitfcB

Not happy with the last two games obviously but two think this was coming somewhere along the line.

“There will be bumps along the way”

Long way to go.

Still got that elusive game in hand (will be two after next Saturday)

Need a win Saturday though.

We looked horrendous.

I wonder (somewhat facetiously) how the reaction to tonight’s shambles will compare to the reaction to our 0-0 with them when Mick was here?

Not sure it’s just a bump on the road. We have one of the, if not the, strongest squads in this league. There’s really no excuse for performances like tonight, especially in our own backyard.

Tonight was a Mick performance at it's very worst. Mick's excuse, as much as he didn't use it, was he was managing one of the financially poorest teams in the league and had to grind out results. Lambert cannot use that one for a moment yet here we still are.

It is a fable that we have the strongest squad in the league. We don't, it only takes a couple of injuries to see that our back up players are not up to it and the long term injured players such as Huws and Keane are nowhere near at it.

We are not a high scoring team and really have relied on the form of the defence, which is clearly dipping.

The fragility in this team is all too clear

We are totally flattered by our position. I think the last two games will be more indicative of our season than the first 10 unfortunately . We’ll be top 6 and it’s not completely all doom and gloom but we don’t look like a top 2 side to me and I said that before the Accrington game.

Sunday and tonight were horrible, not those occasional losses of a promotion hunting team.

MrTown in particular is seething.

That’s not even in our top 5 worst performances under Lambert.

I can't think of many, if any, worse at home? Ironically possibly Rotherham last season which we somehow won despite being under siege for large swathes of the match.

I’d have to respectfully disagree concerning comparative squad strength.

Tonight is about the manager’s failure to organise his troops.

Preston away
Bristol at home
Hull at home
Reading at home
QPR away

That’s 5 off the top of my head

Would definitely take Bristol City off that list - we looked decent against them until they brought Diedhiou on to out-muscle our defence. We were in the Reading game until the final minute though it did meander along somewhat. I'll give you Hull, that was poor.

I'll ignore the away matches as I said 'at home' in my OP.
