Let's just get Brexit done.

Or something.

Please note: prior to hitting the post button, I've double checked for anything that could be construed as "Anti Semitic" and to the best of my knowledge it isn't. Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing.

I watched it one person is going to vote labour, one conservative and the person running the food bank is undecided. There were a few women with children struggling, but no one asked what about the fathers of these children are they contributing to the children?
That's a big problem in this country lack of personal responsibility. Not sure of the detail of it each case as they didnt dig deep but something needs to be done if fathers aren't taking their personal responsibility.

Holland 20/25 years introduced some really tough measures to put more responsibility onto fathers and away from the state, yes it did cause some short term pain but last year Holland was voted the most family friendly country in Europe, may we should look at that model to see what worked, what didnt work.

There was a feature on C4 news (I think) a couple of nights back, where they were looking at a focus group of working class people somewhere in Yorkshire. Each member had previously voted for labour, and they were all saying that they are now going to vote "for Boris".

I agree. It's all desperately sad and depressing. The very people who will, in the long run, be harmed the most by Brexit and a conservative majority are set to commit electoral suicide. It really is beginning to look like Brexit, and the Cummings-Johnson campaign to manipulate people via conventional and social media is going to deliver a thumping conservative majority.

I really hope I'm wrong.

Broad generalisations don't help and your entire post is as general as it gets.

As a country we won't get anywhere attempting to apply macro reasoning to the minuatae of our problems.

As I said Holland clearly did something and improved greatly, as a country let's review what they did and implement the pieces which worked rather than a generic no we"re not interested in what they did

You see what Johnson is willing to commit to print about single mothers, working class men, etc before you even get onto Muslims, Black people, etc and it doesn't take a great leap to see the utter disdain he holds the people in who will give him a majority.

Correlation doesn't mean causation.

Why don't you go and research it and then report back with what parts we should look to implement and how they have worked.

I look forward to your analysis.

A halfway competent leader pushing the same policies or near-as-dammit that the Dear Leader has would be trouncing the Tories at the polls. Corbyn is toxic, with his dodgy past and present associations, invisibility at key times(where was he in 2016? Glad-handing with cultists rather than front-and-centre, that's where) and woefully inept commons performances(the whole 'I have a letter from Mrs Trellis in North Wales' approach to PMQ's, springs to mind here) and a cult of personality that sees anyone suggesting tha he's not up to the job is Tory lackey have all conspired to brings us to where we're at.

My main regret is that but for a lack of competence in eating a bacon sandwich from Ed Milliband, this whole clusterf*ck could have been avoided.

If anyone else was leading these policies they'd be getting hammered by the red tops too, and the Telegraph.

There was a big expose about how McDonnell went to St Joes in the Mail on Sunday, about how he had tried to hide this fact - it was listed on his, and St Joe's wikipedia page!

You really haven't moved on since 2015 in that analysis. It was harsh then and largely unfair now given how he's performed in the past 4 years. Always fighting against exactly this type of characterisation whatever he says or does. Or doesn't say or doesn't do, it's all the same.

He's by no means perfect but when you factor in the ridiculous media and social media attacks against him then he's done alright.
