Saw Parasite today 20:31 - Feb 11 with 558 views | BrixtonBlue | It really is worthy of the Oscars (and Baftas). I won't say too much, as myself and the missus went into it knowing nothing about it (apart from the aforementioned awards, it's Korean and subtitled) and I think that would be a really good way to watch it, not knowing what to expect. And it was very unexpected. In my head it was going to be a Korean version of a Ken Loach film. It was nothing like that. I'll just say it's very clever, very different, and also works on several levels. I didn't realise the writer and director was also the writer and director of Snowpiercer, another brilliant film which works on several levels. I'm going to have to find out what else Bong Joon Ho has done because he's an amazing storyteller. The awards are fully deserved. | |
