North Essex pub advice 20:54 - Feb 16 with 1509 views

Last year, ahead of a family trip to visit relatives, I turned to the good citizens of TWTD for pub recommendations as I was keen to show off the homeland as well as possible.

This Easter we are staying near Boxted. I was hoping I might get similar recommendations. To be honest, having previously visited The Sun Inn at Dedham, I can’t imagine anywhere in the area being better but I thought I’d ask.

Criteria: must be a historic old pub that serves good, local ale.

From the reference to the Sun Inn at Dedham, I assume we're talking about the Boxted between Langham and Stoke-by-Nayland?

While I do like the pub and brewery do bear in mind the drinks here are expensive and the brewery specialises in very unusual beers
