What even is being a football supporter without hope? 11:26 - Mar 4 with 333 viewsWarkTheWarkITFC

Around 18 months ago, the roof was nearly lifted over Portman Road as Gwion Edwards gave us the lead against Norwich and set us on our way to a win that would lift us above them and get our season up and running.

Fast forward those 18 months and Norwich are now playing for a place in the Quarter Finals of the FA Cup, having just beaten the 3rd placed team in the Premier League to boost their chances of staying in the top division, having enjoyed promotion last season, in the same campaign they looked as bad as us in early on.

Sheffield United were hoping they could follow up a respectable Championship finish by maybe gate-crashing the playoffs. 18 months on they are in with a good chance of making the Europa League and possibly even the Champions League.

Wolves were starting back in the Premier League hoping they could survive. 18 months on they are looking at being a serious Champions League qualifier and potential Europa League winners!

There are of course clubs like Huddersfield that counter that. From hoping to stay in the Premier League to hoping not to drop in League One.

But the reality is that almost every other club has that hope. That maybe we could. That you just never know.

Under Evans becoming an Ipswich fan has removed any dreaming of where we will be in 18 months and just instilled a fear of where we will be in 18 months.
