I'd say that's been the other and perhaps most worrying aspect of this distrust of experts - the idea that non-expert opinion can now be elevated as a source of information and news. Klopp is brilliant here at putting that thinking where it belongs.

But he wasn't asked to provide an expert opinion on the virus, he was asked if he was concerned how it might affect the club. Given that he is a manager of a football club potentially playing matches internationally and that many matches in football and other sports are being postponed in Italy elsewhere, that is not an unreasonable question. He's gone a bit high horse for me here.

I don't think that's correct at all.
He's admitted he's not got enough knowledge to give a good answer on whether the club should be worried and that they should ask an expert and that it's ridiculous that a football managers opinion should somehow be elevated to something important when it's better to ask an expert.
He's right on his answer for the virus and he's even more right with his general point on asking an expert.
