Clarke-Harris 19:08 - Oct 24 with 1495 views | stiff_talking | Clarke Harris has scored 4 already for Posh who are now in top two. I wonder if the price difference between him and Hawkins was worth the saving Mr Evans ?
Clarke-Harris on 19:18 - Oct 24 with 1451 views | Ftnfwest | We didn't sell Ivan toney for £10m or whatever it was though. I was just targeting survival this year tbh based on last year's performance

We had at least a month to sign him and were heavily linked in the press for the move. We waited....and waited for Pompey to sell Toney

Yeah, comparing our purchasing with a team that sold a player for 10m isn't really useful. That said, it was pretty obvious that we did need a goalscorer of some sort given our struggles to put the ball in the net for the last xx seasons.

Dub Tractor perhaps you summed it up better than me We clearly needed a goal scorer and we failed to make it a priority We actually wasted money strengthening other areas that didn’t need the same attention
Clarke-Harris on 19:57 - Oct 24 with 1283 views | SuffolkPOSH | Quite a few Posh fans have stated they are unimpressed by JCH and saying things like "he's a waste of money" & "he's a lump" which seems a tad harsh consideing he hasn't even played 10 games yet. Another common opinion by Posh fans is that Mo Eisa is also a waste of money even though his goal record isn't to bad.

Wasn't meant to be obstructive. The simple fact is we weren't going to buy anyone for anything unless we sold first.

I wonder if Posh would let us sign Mo Eisa in the January transfer window - they're not really making use of him and his record of 15 goals in 30 isn't that bad considering Toney swept up most of the chances. Would score more than our current strikers and is big enough to get involved with holdup play.

I don't think we were ever interested, we weren't going to pay fees anything like £1.25m this summer given the financial situation.

How close can you get to £1m ???. Maybe Posh would consider a swap deal with Norwood as I know management were high on him but lost out to you in signing him. I however I suspect he is now to old as he is the wrong side of 30, especially as Posh have a policy of preferring to sign young players and hasn't Norwood been a tad injury prone recently ???.

What's the latest with the new ground? On hold now due to what's going on?

No offical statements have been made but one of the directors did say in an interview that they still planned to keep to the original schedule but depending on how long the global b*****d goes on it could be delayed 12 months. This was May time when we were in the midst of lockdown.
