You're wrong. It's not acceptable to some people from Scotland, but nonetheless 'scotch' used as an adjective means of, from or pertaining to Scotland. That the people of Scotland seem to insist the word is only used in connection with eggs and incorrectly-spelt whiskey is irrelevant.
