Evans still believe in lambert and wanted to back him. He can’t do so with permanent singing because of the salary cap. So loan signings were what he could only do. At least now it removes any excuses if the form continues and if we were to sack him the new man would not be left with load of permanent player he does not want. [Post edited 2 Feb 2021 8:35]

I think it’s a last desperate throw of the dice by both of them.
The timing is debatable but Lambert has to be on borrowed time if he doesn’t at least get us to the playoffs.
As for Evans, he must, or at least should be beginning to realise the majority of our fan base have finally sussed him out. With season ticket renewals coming up fast he needed to be seen to be doing something, anything, [Post edited 2 Feb 2021 8:44]
