Well that's the problem. We haven't ended up with Lambert due to bad luck, he was he choice man of Evans who recalled him turning Norwich into the best side and club in this region. He sadly forgot the rest of it. |  |

For some reason, I genuinely thought he'd go for Cook or Cowleys. Although our prpblems go beyond the manager, I still think a decent appointment could get us promoted next season so wasn't too downbeat. However, with Neil Harris or Nigel Pearson likely to take over, I'm not hopeful. We've spent the last year watching the club p1ss away an opportunity and it's so frustrating, yet things don't look likely to change. |  |

He got one right in appointing McCarthy. There is no doubting that. We were a mess and McCarthy very quickly turned that around and left us in a far better position than when he joined.
Due to the animosity that had built, many would argue he got not renewing McCarthy's contract was the right decision too. However, I think Evans himself feels he got that wrong (hence his own BCWYWF comment).
It is possible that Evans will get it right. However, I won't hold my breath. |  |

In fairness,Mccarthy was a great appointment and Hurst ticked a lot of boxes for a lot of people. Even Keane made sense at the time in terms of high profile,promotion already under his belt.
Jewell and Lambert were the only 2 appointments which were odd at the time and have proven to be disasters.

Yeah I don't really either to be honest. As someone else said, I honestly didn't see past Cook or the Cowleys for the job, so if Cook goes Bristol and the Cowleys aren't in the running, I really do dread what route he will go down. |  |
