Wild? She's livid (I am assuming that is a ewe simply because of the absence of horns...and the soft allure of all that unkempt wool, of course.)

If we are to believe the story Steve linked earlier, we should not intervene and let the sheep falls to God's Providence, for it is all part of his grand plan of dead, woolly spherical sheep.

I don't know but I remember Uri Gellar getting upset on I'm a Celeb when his fellow vegetarian and future King of the Jungle Tony Blackburn ate a Witchy Grub thing Which got me thinking - can a vegan go fishing on a catch and release basis? What about the maggots?

It isn't that confusing. Veganism is essentially about equal consideration. Nothing wrong with being nice to a fellow mammal. Taking a mammal out of its natural habitat, then breeding it for the purposes of farming, and every so often doing something nice, is not really an example of not being cruel. Think of it this way, take a human that has been unjustly imprisoned, and the adult children of the human, are born and also in prison, get a free shave and haircut. Not sure the human is really worried about what you do with the trimmings. Not sure you should cite free hair cuts as a good thing.

Well, let's take the principle of equal consideration again. Fish get their oxygen from air, they die if they can't breathe, they flap about a bit when trying to breathe, before dying, much like mammals do when struggling to breathe. If it is okay for me to hold you under water for a while, watch you thrash around for a bit, for my entertainment, sure catch and release is fine. When would you like to book a partially drowning, or would you prefer to be surprised? [Post edited 31 Mar 2021 13:52]

....coupled with a sense of humour by pass. My original point, as I'm sure you know, was - Does a vegan object to using wool, that was removed from a wild sheep for the sheep's benefit, being used in the manufacture of clothing? If they do (which I expect they will) then why?
