Having read that statement, I choose to believe he does care and genuinely wants the best for the club. He does deserve some recognition for doing the right thing when it was available to him.

But in every other single way you can think of, ruined us. As I've said on here before, giving money to the RSPCA doesn't absolve you for neglecting and kicking the sh1t out of your dog every day. I thank Evans for keeping us afloat, but for everything else, he has been a stain on this club and I hope we will be able to recover from his repeated, sheer incompetence.

I am pleased he has finally sold the club, but it would be hypocritical of me to thank him. He’s led this club to the darkest place in its history. That may not have been his intention, but that is the result. But today isn’t about Evans. It’s about the future and for the first time in years there is a chance of one.

Fingers crossed that the new owners will have enough about them to set the club on a positive course. With its support base it has the potential to be a lot better than it is, both in terms of its set up and league position.

Agreed. I think the thanks are somewhat misplaced. He should "write-off" the debt, as it was always seen as his investment. He should keep the club afloat, as it is his responsibility. He should seek suitable owners to takeover. This is all minimum requirements.

He was never present in the way the club needed and it is due to his lack investment in infrastructure across the whole club, alongside his disastrous managerial appointments, that has left us rotting in the third-tier with what is quite possibly the weakest squad we've ever had as a club.
