...this place will be incredible when the time comes for dear Liz to pass over!

This place is going to be unbearable now. Constant focus on whether Harry and Meghan attend the funeral. People on both sides who haven't got a clue putting their strong opinions across.

Truly impaired.

Seems to me that when Liz takes her leave it would be the ideal time for the country to have a mature, thoughtful conversation about the role of the royal family in a modern democracy, or if they even have a role moving forwards.

Chances of that happening? 0%.

I'm interested in Meghan, not so much Harry though. And it's a shame Kate has the taste in men she does - she really missed the boat.

This is the position the J2 Advisory Committee is encouraging.

We will need to respect the views of The Man On The Village Green.

As opposed to the Clapham Omnibus.

(As far as I was concerned the Clapham Omnibus was the 118 which had a stop at the end of my road and took you all the way to Clapham Old Town.

Oh no, I didn't mean that. I was talking about her buying a little apartment in Benidorm and soaking up the sun for a few years!

To be honest, the time to have that debate would not be at that point.

The debate would be best held in a few months time with the potential being that, should things change, the best time to implement those changes would be when the Queen becomes unable to continue for whatever reasons.

That's a good point actually. When the Queen 'retires' I'm expecting the country to double down on patriotism and the approval rating of the Royal family to go through the roof. We should have been having this conversation for years now. But we haven't been, and we won't do.

She can't. The tvvats that profess to love her so much recently put an end to that dream. She could stay for 90 days in a 6 month period though, or claim residency as long as she meets the conditions.

This might be too soon, but she's now free to marry a sexy little Spanish waiter out there. Just sayin'.

We won't, but after a respectful silence much of the rest of the commonwealth will - Australia, New Zealand and Canada and bit of the Carribbean will find new heads of state.

To be fair, as a symbolic head she's brilliant - and the respect she is held in is shown by the lack of change. Britain will become smaller on the world stage when she departs.

Should we? First I'd prefer we sort the voting system and the house of Lords. In terms of democratic obstruction those are hundreds of times more impactful....
