Tip day 10:24 - Apr 13 with 413 views

Because of a load of garden waste, I'd booked a visit to the tip for this morning. I booked 9.45 planning to go for a swim afterwards, but thought I'd return home so I could go for a walk around the leafy lanes of Ixworth with Mrs Facters.

I arrived slightly after 9.45 due to traffic (slow moving lorry on the A143, and then having to slow down for a paramedic hurtling in the opposite direction at Great Barton.

Again I was able to park right next to the garden waste and cardboard skips. I also bid farewell to my Nordic Walking poles. I'd managed to break one the other day, but I have a new pair on order.

No Tassimo podules today.

I trust that when you get your new poles you will do the decent thing and give them names suitable for Poles.

My wife's poles are named after two great Polish ski jumpers, Kamil Stock and Adam Malysz.
"Don't forget Adam and Kamil", I often say.

It's a recycling centre, not a tip. As it's an Operational Hub that also does MOTs, it has a swimming pool too, as required by current MHCLG guidance.
