I can remember being at a home match with my dad and seeing John Deehan score a belter from about 25 yards. A great goal.
Have a feeling it was against West Brom (but I could be getting confused because he played for West Brom). He didn't score that many for us. Anyone remember it?I've looked for it on youtube but can't find it.
Might be one of those childhood memories where it gets better and further out over the years...but I'm pretty sure it was a good hit.

Well his goal against Bradford was apparently set up by Michael Cole heading on a cross from Ian Cranson, but then Cole also played (and scored) in that Birmingham game so it may not be much help. | | | |

I remember that one. Town had just had some new drainage work done on the pitch and it passed the test. The ref was a bit of a character, the eccentric Roger Kirkpatrick, who was nicknamed Mr Pickwick.
