In light of Sterling's undershirt message 15:24 - Sep 3 with 1439 viewshatch

I appreciate that was a heartfelt message but many players still wear printed messages underneath for other reasons like Balotelli used to. How many players must get into the changing room week after week having no scored and have to get changed to expose their printed undershirt message which they still can't show to the fans.

I wonder how many printed message shirts have been worn but never exposed at a game.

Aaron Drinan's was probably an amazing bit of prose...

Why don't they just send those personal thoughts directly to the intended viewers in a card or something?... they could even use a yellow card if they so wished...

Just seems a really stupid & unnecessary way to get a yellow card to me - not fair to your club or team-mates either - imagine getting another yellow for an innocuous challenge which the ref has a harsh take on just minutes later ...

Like Hoppy says, just send it a different way!

Graham Harbey has a whole wardrobe full of unexposed 'I told you I was a footballer' tee-shirts.

Apparently, there are heaps of yellow tee-shirts for sale on eBay, with the phrase 'Finally, we have won something meaningful' tricked out in green letters. Moth-eaten, but make decent dusters, or so the description goes.

Cole Skuse has one which says "Blimey, that caught me by surprise!" on it.

I think one if the English scorers should have worn this, stood in front of the Hungarian supporters and then mocked them as their beer cups completely miss them.

Now’s there a worthwhile yellow card.
