...to posters like myself who questioned Cook, from his coaching selections, to his team selections, to his double-talk about excuses and not throwing players under the bus, his seeming inability to motivate players, and certainly his inability to get even the basics of defending out of good players. The same thing every game. I really, really want to be wrong. But the manner of that defeat makes it appear like I'm not, and have had it right for some time. It was one of the most humilating, badly organised capitulations I've ever seen at Portman Road. Outright embarrassing. After 2 weeks of intensive training. Bonding. Togetherness. Bullcrap. If he gets another opportunity to manage a game at Portman Rd and has the temerity to run out onto the pitch on his own to take expected applause like it's all about him he has the biggest and most delusional nutsack in East Anglia. | |
