Some seem to think we should have scored a hatful before we were gifted the late equaliser.

Others think we got lucky. On the radio and according to Mick Mills, it sounds like the latter are correct.

We had a bunch of good chances and could have been 3 up before they scored. On another day Maca would have got two or three.

They created next to nthing. Aide from the goal they never looked like scoring.

In the second half we we clueless, seemed to have no idea what do do with the ball and were sloppy i somem dangerous positions but still managed to score and make a coupe of other half decent chnces.

Overall we weren't lucky, in fact Burns offiside goal was a tight one and we could consider ourselves a touch unlucky that it wasn't allowed.

If we were clueless with the ball second half, what were we first half?!

In the first half we mixed the worst of Lambert (turgid passing in our own half) with the worst of McCarthy (hit and hope/bypass the midfield). Carroll and El Miz were desperate for the ball, but may as well not have been there.

Second half we at least started to play through the middle and became far more decisive. If we do that from the starts, we'll start to look half decent.

So what you're saying is, sheff wed started to lose their high press second half and the gaps opened up for our midfield to have a bit more of the ball on the floor compared the first half where there was a need to go long on occasions?

We weren’t lucky. A draw was probably a fair result but we certainly didn’t deserve to lose. Struggling to recall what exactly Sheff Wed did all game aside from their goal whereas we had a handful of good chances to win the game.

Must say i thought Mick Mills was talking pretty much rubbish just killing time until Cookie came on . I thought we were good first half and should have scored a couple . Great chance early second half but Penny failed to find an unmarked Bonne at far post . Sheff Wed pretty much killed the game after that and i had more or less given up thinking we would score when !!!

Tactics and they worked pretty well. In fact, subtle changes changed our approach three times. Can’t ask any more than that.

It’s weird isn’t it? Bonne’s finishing was poor today. On another day he scores a hat-trick and could have been in for a fourth and then everyone hails how wonderful things are rather than thinking we were lucky.

Today I counted the following :

- Bonne three great chances
- Chaplin’s goal
- Burgess header wide
- Burns disallowed goal
- Harper’s shot that should have been squared
- Three great balls across the face of the goal that needed a tap
- Plus a bunch of other good balls into the box and El Miz’s atttempt

Some of these were from our own making, some were because we forced the errors. I honestly have no idea how we’re being branded lucky today. We were frustrating to watch second half admittedly because we stopped moving the ball quickly as they consolidated their shape but even then Cook tweaked it to play in tight areas and draw them out.

We were not lucky. I assume it’s as simple as looking at the time the goal was scored and drawing that parallel.

I think the 'lucky' tag comes from the fact it took until 90 mins to score. The nature of the goal is arguably lucky but equally could he viewed as clever. Besides, there was a lot to do even after Bonne stole the ball.

No, not at all. Tactics had clearly changed second half and they were told to feed it to Carroll and El Miz rather than going long. No more space, it's just whereas Burgess and (in particular) Edmundson simply didn't look for them in the first half, they started to do so second half. Time and again El Miz was in space in the first half and they totally ignored him.

I thought we played well, although SW are a below average team based on that performance. SW really lacked confidence I thought and Bonne should have scored with that 1:1, terrible miss by him, a goal that early and with SW lack of confidence and it's a 2, 3 nil win for Town. We should be scoring those chances and then after they scored you could see their confidence improve

Agreed. Bonne scores in the third minute and I highly suspect we’d have coasted that game.
