What a mess.
Morsy looks like someone who never wanted to be here but the one saving grace was his relationship with Cook. Even Cook couldn’t get a tune out of him lately, so what chance the new man.
Very brave to drop or completely ditch a new captain so potentially stuck in this position for some time as well.
You could make a case for only Walton, Edmundson, Chaplin, Aluko and Burns being anywhere near the starting eleven now when fit and two of them play in the same position. Potentially add Celina to that, but from 19 players we’ve got 5 or 6 that look remotely up to it.
Incredibly it’s at that stage where we start looking at the likes of Stockton to come in ahead of Bonne and Piggott. It’s astonishing. |  | | |
