So the apology from Johnson 12:07 - Jan 12 with 4916 viewsElderGrizzly

Was simply, the Garden is my Office and I should have sent them back inside?

Not stop, go home. Sent them back inside to continue drinking?

Utter buffoon

They will have "gamed" this for hours inside No 10 in preparation. Is this really the best they can come up with: "I should have sent them back inside."

An apology should be disarming but he can't be let off the hook this easily. He and his miserable crew are contemptible.

Sending them back inside was worse!

Agree, they gamed the Cummings eye test story too and that was appaling

What gets me is that, whilst the majority of the population do think hes a monumental bell*nd, if he just came out and admitted what he'd done and apologised, we'd think he's a little less of a monumental bell*nd.

Yep all he’s done now is say he didn’t think it was “technically a party” and “the Garden is my Office”

He’s an utter fool and he probably thinks he will get away with it

But then his position would be untenable and possibly he'd be admitting to breaking the law. Not to mention misleading Parliament.

Some journalists are calling it that he will resign once the inquiry is complete.

Difficult times. The priority is getting a change of government, the longer Johnson stays in office the greater the chance of a change.

He will, I’m sure, resign once the report on the ongoing enquiry are complete. He will do so if only to avoid facing questions then.

He's just a total t*sser.

Needs to go now, trying to claim it was a work event (which also wasn't allowed I believe), it's insulting to those who couldn't be with their relatives as they died.

Its just shame the next GE is so far away (something which lends credence to those saying these leaks are from right-wing tories, I spose).

Three parties, Labour, Alliance Party and SNP have all called on him to resign today in PMQs

His body language shows that he knows its over. It’s just a matter of within days or if he sits out to wait for the report

Yet those first few words are why a huge number of the country vote for him.

Who cares where the leaks come from?

He's broken so many rules that others abided by he needs to go now, irrespective of what else happens.

He's still not saying "party", just calling it an "event".

I still know people who think he's great and "done his best................" They always add, "I'm not really interested in politics." That is THE question we have in this country when looking for leadership - is democracy breaking down?

It's been entertaining, Johnson is done for whether it's this week or next month. The shtick has got tired with even most of those who still fell for it in 2019.

Shame there is such a sizeable majority as the next Tory leader has some time to shore things up and they will blame Johnson for all the PPE fraud.
